Costcodle Unlimited
Last updated 2026-11-05. Item pool rebuilt from the official games.json in this build.
Costcodle Unlimited is a free online version of the Costco price guessing game, playable
right here with no daily wait and nothing to download. Instead of one puzzle a day you get
as many items as you want, in a row of five, in an endless session, or as a replay of today or any
earlier day the game has already published. Every item and price comes from the same
games.json the daily puzzle reads, and the pool stops at the newest published puzzle
so nothing here can spoil a future day. It currently holds 1142 items, from game-2 on
22 September 2023 through game-1143 on 2026-11-05.
Play Costcodle Unlimited
A replayable version of the Costco price game: as many items as you want, with no daily
wait. Every item and price comes from the same games.json the daily puzzle
reads, and the pool stops at the newest puzzle the daily game has published — so it can never
spoil a future day.
Today's set is the same 5 items for everyone playing today, reshuffled at midnight UTC. Six guesses each, the same 5 percent win and 25 percent yellow band as the real game.

Stored only in this browser, under the key costcodle-unlimited-v1. This page does
not read or write the daily game's saved state, so playing here cannot change your daily

Today's puzzle, as many times as you like
Replay a day defaults to today, so you can take today's Costcodle puzzle again without waiting for tomorrow, or step back to any previous day and redo the one you missed. Every round ends by showing the answer: the item, the exact price, the win band and the yellow band. Nothing is hidden once the round is over. If you only want to read today's answer rather than play it, it is folded on the answers page, and every previous day is indexed on past games.
What Costcodle Unlimited is, and what it is not
It is a practice game with the real item list. The official file behind the daily puzzle ships 3,399 rows written years in advance; this page only serves the ones already published, so you are playing genuine Costco items at the prices the game used, not a re-typed list.
It is not the official game, and the official game has no unlimited mode. I checked that
against the repository and the live page: main.js
counts up from the start date and offers no mode switch, and the only controls on costcodle.com
are the rules overlay and the stats panel. So there is no official endless mode to link to. This
page is the archive's own answer to the query, and it is labelled as such everywhere.
Three ways to play
| Mode | What it does | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Today's set | The same five items for everyone playing today, reshuffled at midnight UTC, scored out of 40 | A score you can compare and post, because everyone got the same five |
| Endless | Keeps dealing items until you stop; points accumulate for as long as you keep solving | Long practice, and finding out where your price memory actually breaks |
| Replay a day | Pick any date from 22 September 2023 to today and play that exact puzzle again | Redoing the one you missed, or a day you only read the answer for |
Endless, infinite, unlimited: one mode
Whichever word brought you here, this page is the same thing. There is no separate "Costcodle endless" or "Costcodle infinite" product, and no second switch to find: the official game gives you one puzzle per local day and nothing else, so every worth-playing answer to those three searches is somebody's reconstruction, including this one. What differs between them is whether they deal real items at real published prices, and whether they admit what they are. This one does both.
Costcodle Unlimited against the official daily
| Official daily at costcodle.com | This page | |
|---|---|---|
| Puzzles per day | One, from local midnight | As many as you want, plus a shared five-item set |
| Item pool | The day's row from official games.json | The same rows, published puzzles only |
| Rules | Six guesses, 5 percent win, 25 percent yellow | Identical, so practice transfers |
| Streak and stats | Yours, in costcodle.com storage | Separate practice record, never touches the daily |
| Replaying an old day | Not offered | Any date back to 22 September 2023 |
| Cost | Free | Free |
| Ads and consent | Google Analytics on the developer's page | Same site-wide consent banner as the rest of this archive |
There is no price to compare, because the official game never sold this. Some daily games charge a one-off unlock for their endless mode; Costcodle does not have one to unlock.
No download, no unlock, no bypass
There is nothing to install and nothing to crack. The official game ships no app and no Steam
build, and this page is a web page like the rest of the archive, so there is no
.apk, no installer and no "unlimited unlock" file that does anything. Any page
offering a Costcodle Unlimited download or a code is either describing a different game or
selling something that does not exist. If a site tells you it has the official endless mode,
it cannot: there is no official endless mode.
Is there an official unlimited mode?
No, and that is the honest answer to the search. The FAQ says the same thing: the official counter moves forward one puzzle each local day, and there is no endless switch in the code. Sites that advertise a Costcodle unlimited mode are running their own reconstructions, exactly as this page does. The difference here is that this one reuses the published official rows rather than a copied list, and it tells you which is which.
Your unlimited record is separate from your daily game
Playing here cannot touch your daily streak. The daily game writes state and
stats into the storage of costcodle.com, which is a different origin
from this site and unreachable from here. This page keeps its own counters under
costcodle-unlimited-v1 on costcodle.net, and nothing in the daily game reads them.
If you clear them, your daily streak is untouched.
How the score works
| Event | Points |
|---|---|
| Solved on guess 1 | 6 |
| Solved on guess 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 | 5 / 4 / 3 / 2 / 1 |
| Winning guess within 1 percent of the price | +2 |
| Winning guess within 3 percent | +1 |
| Each hint you open | −1 |
| Item missed, or given up on | 0 |
Speed alone is not the whole score. The precision bonus is there because a guess that lands half a percent away is a better read of the shelf than one that scrapes in at 4.9 percent, and the daily game does not distinguish between them.
What the real prices look like
Because every row in the pool is a published puzzle, the archive can describe the actual price distribution instead of guessing at it. Across the 1142 items published so far:
| Band | Items | Share |
|---|---|---|
| Under $5 | 130 | 11.6% |
| $5 to $9.99 | 501 | 44.8% |
| $10 to $19.99 | 404 | 36.1% |
| $20 to $49.99 | 68 | 6.1% |
| $50 and over | 16 | 1.4% |
The median item costs $9.99 and 94.8 percent of items sit at or below $25, so an opening guess far outside that range is usually wasted. The single most useful pattern is in the last two digits: 748 of the 1,119 prices end in .99 and 365 more end in .49. Only six items in the whole published set end in anything else. That is why a guess like $8.99 or $12.49 is almost always a better anchor than a round number.
The cheapest item ever published is Diamond Crystal Iodized Salt, 4 lbs at $0.99. The most expensive is the Agio Anderson 7-piece Fire Outdoor Patio Dining Set at $1,799.99 — a reminder that a furniture row can appear next to a bag of onions.
Getting better at the price guess
- Ask what kind of item it is before you think about a number: multipack snack, frozen entree, bakery, seafood, or furniture. Each has its own home range.
- Use unit size. A 2 x 16 oz pack is not priced like a single 16 oz pack, and the label usually tells you which it is.
- Open at the middle of the band above, then let the arrows do the work. One decisive move beats five dimes.
- Once you are inside the yellow band, stop jumping. Halve the remaining distance each time.
- End your guess in .99 or .49 unless you have a reason not to.
- The longer method is written out on the tips page, and the exact colour rules are on how to play.

If you want another daily game with an unlimited mode
Costcodle is not the only one. Chronophoto asks you to guess the year a photograph was taken and ships both a daily challenge and an unlimited mode, and it is the game people most often search alongside this one. Scrandle compares food, Thingdle is an object riddle, FoodGuessr asks where a dish comes from. None of them guesses a shelf price, which is what this page is for. The full list, with what I actually loaded and what each one does, is on games like Costcodle.
Costcodle Unlimited FAQ
Can I play Costcodle Unlimited online for free?
Yes, and that is the whole arrangement. It plays in the browser tab you already have open, there is no account, no signup, no payment, and no download. Nothing about it needs installing, and it works on a phone as well as a desktop.
Is there a Costcodle endless or infinite mode?
It is the same thing under a different word, and it is on this page. Endless, infinite and unlimited all describe playing past the single daily puzzle. The official game offers none of the three, so this archive's practice game is the one that does.
Is there a Costcodle Unlimited download or app?
No. The official game is a web page with no app and no Steam build, and this unlimited page is the same. Everything runs in the browser, so there is no file to fetch and no store listing to install from.
Is this the official Costcodle unlimited mode?
No, and the official game does not have one. This is an independent practice guessing game I built for this archive. It uses the same published items, the same six guesses, and the same 5 percent win and 25 percent yellow thresholds as the real game, but it is not operated by the developer.
Can I play today's Costcodle puzzle in unlimited mode?
Yes. Choose Replay a day and leave the date on today, or pick any earlier date. You play that exact puzzle again as often as you like, with the item and price that were published for it. Today's answer on its own, folded, is on the answers page.
Where is the Costcodle Unlimited answer?
Every round ends by revealing it. As soon as you win, run out of guesses or give up, the page shows the item name, the exact price, the five percent win band and the twenty-five percent yellow band, plus how far off each of your guesses was. Nothing is hidden after the round is over.
Can I play previous Costcodle puzzles here?
Yes. Replay a day accepts any date from 22 September 2023 to today, which is game-1142 back to game-2. If you would rather just read a previous answer instead of playing it, the archive index lists every published day by month with its item and price.
Does playing unlimited affect my daily Costcodle streak?
No. The daily game keeps its state and stats in your browser on costcodle.com. This page keeps its own record under a separate key on costcodle.net and never reads or writes the daily game's storage.
How many guesses do I get in Costcodle Unlimited?
Six per item, exactly like the daily game. A guess within 5 percent of the real price wins, within 25 percent is the yellow band, and anything further away is red.
How is the unlimited score calculated?
Each solved item is worth 7 minus the number of guesses you used, up to 6 points for a first-guess solve. Finishing within 1 percent of the price adds 2, within 3 percent adds 1. A hint costs 1 point, and a missed item scores nothing. That makes 8 the most you can score on one item and 40 the most in a run of five.
Does unlimited mode spoil future puzzles?
No. The pool stops at the newest puzzle the daily game has already published. The official games.json file contains entries dated into 2033, but those are future daily answers, so they are deliberately left out.
Why can I not play unlimited mode without JavaScript?
Because the game has no server behind it: your browser picks the item, checks your guess and keeps your score. If scripting is off you can still read every past puzzle and price in the archive.
Item names and prices in the pool are copied from games.json in KermWasTaken/costcodle. Pool rebuilt 2026-11-05: 1142 published puzzles. Rules and thresholds re-checked 2026-10-13 against scripts/main.js. This page is an independent archive and is not affiliated with Costco Wholesale Corporation or with the game's developer.
