These are the questions I kept seeing next to the Costcodle name. I answered them from costcodle.com and the GitHub repository on 2026-09-30. Where a number is not published, I say so.

Questions
Is Costcodle free?
Yes. The game is a free web page at costcodle.com. I did not find a checkout, a subscription, or a paid hint pack in the repository.
Is there a Costcodle app, download, or Steam version?
No. The project is HTML, CSS, and JavaScript served on GitHub Pages. There is no installable app and no Steam store page operated by the developer.
How is Costcodle related to Costco?
The puzzle uses Costco grocery prices as its theme. Costco Wholesale does not operate the game or this website. The product list comes from the Costco Food Database, which the game credits.
What time is the new Costcodle?
The script rounds up elapsed 24-hour periods since local midnight on 21 September 2023. It usually changes around local midnight, but daylight saving can shift it. This archive labels the game shown at noon UTC; your live game can show another number.
Is there a Costcodle unlimited or endless mode?
Not in the official game. The puzzle number increases by one each local day. Pages that advertise an unlimited mode are other sites, and I have not verified their code.
What is the average Costcodle score?
There is no published average. The game stores played games, win percent, and streaks in localStorage on your device only.
